I covered the 3 coats with 2 coats of polyurethane clear Minwax. But I think it would have been much easier to use a regular stain and then a polyurethane on top. I had a small hallway where the 1 step worked kind of OK but no way you can use it on a big floor. Do not loose your time with this.

 · I've been using the Minwax 40910000 Wipe-On Poly Finish off and on for years. I usually brush on the first coat (and sometimes a second coat) with a regular Minwax poly. After sanding lightly with 360 grit sandpaper, I wipe on a hand rubbed coat, sometimes a second. The result looks more like a hand wiped shellac than a poly.
