Yes, ‘that’ time of the year is closing upon us – the dark night of terrors and candies of Halloween Sales and Halloween Horror Nights. It’s up to you how you want to spend it, and if you ask me Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2023 should be the preference, let me put it this way.
In this article, CouponUpto is going over Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2023. Everything you need to know is here.
Halloween Horror Nights 2023
Date: Select Nights 1 Sept.–4 Nov. 2023
Admission: Separately Ticketed Event
Highlights: 10 Terrifying Haunted Houses Coming This Year
The Horror Mazes and Terror Trams!
A few years back Universal started expanding this event diverging from the core franchise – to give everything a full-on horror fantasy experience. The addition of “The Walking Dead” maze was just the start, and now we have like a ton of mazes and trams.
Here is a list of everything you will see at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2023:
- The Exorcist
- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
- Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House
- Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives
- The Curse of Pandora's Box
- Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers
- AMC's The Walking Dead
- Terror Tram: The Ultimate Purge
In total, there are 7 mazes and one terror tram. We all know that “The Walking Dead” and “The Exorcist” are the ones that no one is particularly looking forward to, but they have made some additions even to these. In one Exorcist scene, you will witness a beheading and water will be splashed on your face during that. (It will surprise you I guarantee).
Moreover, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House are the real mazes to look forward to, along with the almighty terror tram – which is completely new, remodified, and defiantly something to look forward to.
What’s More in Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2023?
Well, one can definitely dawdle between the mazes and trams, but that’s not going to be enjoying the Halloween experience to the fullest. For that, they have added some major epic things you just can not miss this year.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Okay, this area has been closed in recent years – due to “remodeling” purposes, and we will see this year what they have changed. It’s the only area in the park that leads to The Curse of Pandora’s Box mazes, and thus it is going to be open for sure.
All this means that in Universal Halloween Horror Nights 2023 you will get to ride in Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Flight of the Hippogriff. These rides have been closed forever, and now they are open this year for you. (With possible recodifications).
Lower Lot Rides Reopen
This is as big as the previous news of Harry Potter rides. Lower Lot had a few issues and thus a few major rides were not working – which will not be the case this year. You will get to see these rides:
- Jurassic World: The Ride
- Transformers: The Ride 3D
- Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride
Mazes are nice, but no one wants to miss these rides, right? Moreover, you will get to have special gifts that you can take back home, and great stalls for eating, drinking, short breaks, or fast meals. Along with some exciting games. All this makes it hard to say no to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2023 for sure.
Which Ticket to Buy?
When it comes to tickets, you will have a couple of options, four in total.
- General Admission Ticket: $69-$99
- Universal Express: $209-$299
- Universal Express Unlimited: $249-$339
- RIP Tour: $299-$449
Some of you might not be familiar with RIP tour tickets, and I will get back to you later. Out of these four, I would personally go with the Universal Express tickets if I am on a tight budget, along with the RIP tour option if I have a few extra bucks.
The point is, you can manage to get the full experience of the park with a simple general admission ticket – but that is going to be hectic. If you believe in your time-management skills along with the luck to be first in lines, then go with that (or if you just don’t want the full experience).
We are all familiar with Universal Express and Universal Express Unlimited, where we can repeat the rides, the RIP tour is something new. It’s like your Ultimate experience sort of thing. The benefits of this tour package are very attractive, starting from a front-seated experience to everything, and an “all-you-care-to-enjoy” dinner, they extend this tour with VIP passes and guided short tours with only 9-12 people in each trolley.
This will definitely elevate your Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2023 experience to another level.
Key Takeaway
While unfortunately, Universal doesn’t offer any discount codes or coupons for their events, it’s possible to save some money while shopping for your Halloween costumes, and Halloween decorations (if you end up doing them). Every brand has some Halloween deals and coupons that are active and would save you a ton of money.
